MHDS ~ Community Use of Harborough Theatre

Market Harborough Drama Society is pleased to make Harborough Theatre available for a wide range of community activities, many of which do not involve drama or performing arts.graphic of theatre with logo on roof

Local groups, societies, and charities use the theatre lounge for meetings, coffee mornings, fund-raising book sales, bazaars, etc. Some also use the theatre auditorium for film shows, presentations, etc. We charge a modest fee. (Local businesses and government agencies are charged a commercial rate - which helps to subsidise the not-for-profit groups !)

Last season, the theatre was in use most Saturdays for coffee-mornings and bazaars. There are many regular bookings : Tuesdays for the Age Concern Luncheon Club, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for the after-school Parsnips youth drama classes, Wednesday mornings for the U3A Bridge Club, and monthly for presentations by the Decorative & Fine Art Society. In addition, there were several once-off events, by charities, by the Local Council, and by some local businesses.

Harborough Theatre is popular for community activities - it is in the town centre, with level ground floor access (no steps) into a large lounge area, with a kitchenette and servery, and a very flexible furniture layout.

Any organisation wishing to enquire about booking the Theatre should phone the Lettings Officer. Contact details are on the 'contacts' page - just click on the 'contacts' link at the top of the screen.
